Life inside the music box ain't easy
Woo. Today was a productive day. :3 ♥
I slept in a little later than I meant to, but this is just because I reset my alarm and roll over after it goes off the first time. XD I still got up before three, so I consider this an accomplishment. Considering when I'm out of school I normally don't get up til four or five.
So... got up. Read waifu's posts... messed around on Cafeworld and checked my email and such. Around 3:15 or so I got dressed and went out for my walk/jog. Not so impressed with exercising in the "fresh air." It took me at least fifteen minutes to start breathing normally again after I got home, and even then I really did not feel good.
Yay pollution.
Umm. After my little break I made some peanut butter cup cookies and mixed up the dough for the candy cane cookies since it has to chill. Then I relaxed for a bit until dinnertime. After dinner I baked the candy cane cookies. n_n They turned out cute, though I was almost out of red food coloring... so I ran out of red dough. :( Oh well. There was less than two batches of the white/yellow/whatever dough left so... I rolled them in sugar and mashed them with the bottom of a highball glass. XD They look pretty.
Good kitchen excursions = good mood.
Even if I'm feeling kind of emo. XD I miss waifu already, and she hasn't even left Denton. And I start feeling pretty crappy if I let myself think too much about next semester.
Solution? Don't think about it. Instead, I think I'm going to go do some writing, crochet while my shows are on, and then play Wind Waker until I'm ready to pass out. I want to beat it while I'm on break.
Haven't yet decided what I'm baking tomorrow. Maybe sugar cookies or gingerbread? Dunno. I have all of next week, too... but I know the time is going to go quickly. Wednesday is reserved for the cherry pie for Dad. Tuesday... might have to be devoted to the coconut cake. So I should probably get all the cookies out of the way tomorrow and Monday. I could probably also do some on Saturday. Sunday I'm not gonna feel like it since I have to get up for church. XD
So tomorrow... maybe sugar cookies and gingerbread, and get the dough ready for the neopolitans. ♥ Then I can do the peanut butter balls on Monday... can't remember if there's something else on my list. Feel like I'm forgetting something... but I can check on it tomorrow.
Man. Ina made these awesome white chocolate truffles on the Barefoot Contessa today. I really wanted to make them. @__@ But I do NOT need to add anything more to my list of kitchen efforts. I think I'm already packing my schedule pretty full, and my family is going to gain like 500lbs thanks to me. XD
Ooh. But Mom got me cookie cutters. Stars and wreathes! The wreathes are gonna be so cuuute!
I can't wait to decorate them. ♪
Okay. ^_^ That's about it. I'm going to go mess around. Because I DON'T HAVE ANY HOMEWORK TO DO WTF. SUCH A WEIRD FEELING.
