So it's really official. The drama Smile will air Friday nights in April.

I am very honored to involved in this work.
I know it's a tough character to play but I want to make this character with a reality and full of humanity.
I'm so exciting to play with Nakai (Kiichi) san!
I am so looking forward to it.
I think that I would like to learn a lot of things (from Nakai san) on the set.
I met Aragaki Yui san by chance in the studio the other day,
and we exchange word, saying that "Let's do our best!"
Most of the staffs are from Hanadan. So we have strong teamwork.

Aside from Bito dealing with his hardship, Aragaki Yui will play the role of Hana. She lost her ability to talk due to an accident. I know Aragaki can do her part well acting as a handicapped person. I remember Orange days, the main lead girl is deaf and her acting is really well. It needs good facial expression and body movements to portray such a role. And as I watched Aragaki Yui from Papa to Musume no nanokan, Code Blue and Koizora, I know she can really play that part well.
The writers for Smile is the same with Hana Yori Dango and I give my full expectation for this drama as well just like in Hana Yori Dango. Hana Yori Dango is really a good drama and it shows some different sides from a well off family and a not so well off family. So for Smile, maybe the writer can really show the side of a half born person. I hope that they will give such justice to that character and not give a narrow minded portrayal.
So the story will revolve around the "racism" of Japan to half born people or maybe some other race. I/We the Filipino fans and drama viewers hopes that the production/writer gives out a good portrayal of the characters. And as what Jun stated in his comment, he wants to act as Bito with reality and full of humanity.
And who knows, maybe we can expect Jun to speak some few Tagalog words or phrase. We're now really excited about this drama.
