2008's been a somewhat hard time for me. this passing year brought me another dose of nostalgia, regrets and mistakes done in life. but despite all of that, i'm still able to have a good outlook in life, well somehow. somehow i'm able to control and minimize moodiness and angst. if there's negative things happened, there are also positive and things that have happened.
we're able to travel once more and enjoy life as it is. my two older brothers and younger sister and i went to singapore this year for a week of vacation last summer. my parents went to l. a. for a month and visit our relatives there for the whole month of november. when they are away, my older borhter and i are left to manage our family business. and i can say that it's been hard for me, waking up very early while sleeping late. not to mention the stress involved, but it's enjoyable.
met new friends on line thru various forums. hello to adila (ladestiny92 ) and nana (arashi_nana ). nana, hope your ok now. hello simon (shadow_mokona ), it's great to know more JE fanboys^ ^ and of course the people whom i comment always/often ( shige_ako , potetofurai ,theahhmoment ,riccichan (we miss you in the fadom^ ^ and others not mentioned) on my lj f-list, hello to all of you. it's been a fun year because of you. spazzing, commenting, and just having fun about shige, other NEWS members and of course about JE.
bought for the first time on online store (yesasia.com) my NEWS color LE album and Happy Birthday LE. i'm not that "freak" in buying new single and albums of artists that i like. in fact i only have a NEWS pacific RE album bought from singapore aside from my new 2 NEWS cd's (Color and Happy birthday). i don't spend that much money in buying cd's or maybe i'm just being biased on some artist that i really like. we have the complete album of utada hikaru but we don't buy the album immediately or pre order it. we just buy it after maybe a month or so have passed. the same with my favorite filipino artist, when a new album comes out, i just wait for the hypeness to subside before i buy my own cd. haha, i just don't want to spend that much money, that's all.but i think for this year, i'm spending a lot of money for NEWS (clear file and shige uchiwa , haha...and maybe future singles but it will depend on my mood but definitely an album if ever they will release one this year.
and i also got involved in fansubbing. thanks to mommy jinx (jinx143 ) for teaching me the basics of karaoke timing and to yo (yobebi ) for giving me timing notes and telling me the do's and dont's of timing. thanks shiri (malystrynx ) and yo for accepting me in JORsubs and be a part of Kami no Shizuku sub team. yorushiku ne~ ^ ^ and of course my Tatak-Pinoy sub team. even if i'm a beginner, i learned fast thanks to all your help^ ^
for this year, 2009, i have things i want and need to improve. many things i want to do and lots of other things i want to fulfill.
well, i'll make my to do list aims and goals for this year and years to come. NOT ranked in importance.
1. attain a master's degree ( maybe marketing)
2. learn nihonggo in a higher level ( i'm not able to take the JPLT exam this year i can only understand elementary nihonggo(level 4))
3. practice my driving skills ( i have a professional driver's license yet i don't drive that much)
4. have a handphone that can connect to the internet (i'm an internet freak)
5. have a larger hard drive memory for my video clip downloads and other stuff(even if i already bought my 500gb external HD, which cost me a lot)
6. faster internet speed for my downloading pleasures lol!
7. be able to go to the 3 disney land in the world. (already been to Hong Kong disney land twice already. two more to go! japan and us)
8. travel asia (especially japan)
9. travel to us (well, hope fully next year or depends on our schedule)
10. learn how to speak asian languages (hangul, mandarin, bahasa, thai) other than nihonggo
11. present my business proposal to my high school friends
12. present my business proposal to my college friends
13. have our own business other than my parents business
14. learn how to make and bake cakes and pastries
15. own a super computer!
16. have a european cruise
17. gain some weight ( i have a fast metabolism and having a hard time to gain some weight)
18. have my own room
19. or better yet have my own mansion
20. produce my very own indie film
21. read lots of business books
22. have my own consult firm
23. have my own digital camera
24. be able to start my photo blog or something similar
ok, i'll stop now. i'm being too ambitious and high hope there there, haha. but it's ok to think big and be able to have self fulfillment in the end. now i hope that this year, i'll have more happy times and memories than my being nostalgic.
