"You have something to say. What is it?" Hayato asked.
"You see..." I called as we were about to cross the riverbank. "I..."
want to break up with you...
"Miku...let's end this - our relationship" I was stunned, taken aback by what he said. "That's what you wanted to say right?" and I could only nod.
"I knew it. Your facial expression says everything." He continued. "I don't regret anything."
"In every single thing...it was you."
"What?" he asked.
"The person who told me they like me, the person I went out with, the person I dated, I held hands with...in everything, you were my first and I am glad it was you." I could feel my tears falling as I remembered everything. Even my first kiss was Hayato - both the unwanted and consentual. The first double date at the aquarium, the first makeover I went over for a guy, the first person to make me feel like a woman, like I'm loved...
And I broke his heart.
Is it really worth it? To sacrifice everything for someone who might not like me back? For someone who is also leaving me behind? To hurt someone who loved me this much even if they didn't deserve it?
I liked Hayato didn't I? I liked when he sent me e-mails and takes care of me, I liked when he makes me feel the butterflies in my stomach, I liked him when he likes who I really am and I liked him for not making me forget the hurt of my unrequited love.
Am I even sure I don't like Hayato anymore? Am I sure that what I feel for Souhei is love and not pity or that its not even temporary?
"Hayato" I called and he looked at me, with glistening eyes that look like they were about to cry?
"One year. Give me a year to sort out my feelings. If you found another in that time span, I'm not going to hold it out against you." I spoke as I looked at my feet and then tried to meet his eyes as I spoke again. "Let me sort my feelings"
After a moment of silence, he said "One year" and then we walked towards our different paths.
ONE YEAR LATER
"Hayato!" I called as I saw him sitting somewhere on the soccer grounds.
"Miku. Are you looking for Souhei?"
"One year. One year has passed." I stated once I was close enough.
"I know what your answer is going to be Miku; you don't have to--"
"Please go out with me!" I bowed and closed my eyes, waiting for an answer. I'm not going to be a coward anymore.
And then he held my arms, and made me meet his eyes. "Are you sure?"
"I won't get side-tracked anymore. I miss you, Hayato. And...I like you. I've never been more sure."
And then he enveloped me into his arms and I embraced him back with a big smile on my lips and tears of joy threatening to fall, not wanting to let go of him.

Yuri was practicing his already perfect turns on the dance studio when he saw Yuto in the corner of his eye, handing out a bottle of water to the clumsy, already tired, and couldn't get the whole damn dance down Okamoto Keito. Keito graciously accepted it and when he accidentally poured the water on himself, making Yuto reach for the towel slung over his shoulder and wipe out the cold liquid from Keito's arms, chest and neck.
Yuri walked out of the studio, hoping that Takaki would be somewhere close just so he could cheer him up.

Yuto didn't like being disturbed when he was hitting on his drums - except when its Yamada Ryosuke, Yuri noticed. It didn't matter how absorbed Yuto is in front of the drums: when Yamada asks him to help with his solo dance, Yuto agreed immediately.
Yuri pouted, wishing Yuto would treat him the same instead of the usual "But you can dance better than me" line.

Yuto was jamming with the rest of Hey! Say! BEST to the tune of Kumo no Ito - Yabu on guitar, Hikaru on Bass, Inoo on keyboards, Takaki on vocals, and Daiki trying his best to pluck the electric guitar usually played by Keito (who is on a Hyakushiki shooting) and elicits laughter from the rest.
When they were done, Yuto greeted Yuri with a simple "Yo!" before exting the studio exclaiming "I Love BEST"
Yuri couldn't hate the fact that he couldn't play a single instrument more than he hates it today.

Yuri was now sure that Yuto apparently loves everyone except him. Granted that Yuto was civil in front of him but while Yuto allowed everyone to look at his wallet and borrow money, he wouldn't even let Chinen get close to it. While everyone would ask to borrow his cellular phone due to various reasons, Yuto would lent it - except for him who has a perfectly vaild reason to do so (or so Yuri thinks). While Yuto would be fine in giving excessive fanservice (especially with Yamada), he would refuse to do so with Yuri (giving some lame excuse about Chinen's current leading role in a midnight slot that only a handful of their fans would watch).
Frustrated, Yuri has a brilliant plan to borrow Yuto's phone and wallet (its not stealing when he'll give it back)
When Yuto went to the shower room, Yuri saw the chance and darted for both Yuto's phone and wallet. Needless to say he didn't expect what he saw.
On Yuto's wallpaper was Yuto, kissing a sleeping Yuri on his lips (when did that happen?) while on his wallet was a folded and tattered magazine picture of the two of them, smiling so brightly in front of the camera lens.
When Yuto came out of the shower and saw what Yuri was holding, all Yuri could get out of Yuto was a brief "I-like-you" and nothing else.
So Yuto may love everyone in JUMP but the one he likes is Yuri. In like? is there such term? Yuri wondered because he's not exactly sure if like would defeat love in any way. But judging from the way Yuto fidgets right now, Yuri concluded that Yuto may love the JUMP members but not exactly in love. Yuri settled at that in the meantime, rushing to Yuto as he hugged the taller man, not caring if Yuto's wet from shower or the fact that Yuto is only clad in a towel (okay, he did a little) but he pushes other thoughts as he drowned in his own happy world.
