1)Suikoden

4)Sailor Moon
5)Yuuki
1) Suikoden
OMG, OMG where should I start. xDD
I played my first Suikoden when I was 14 and it was Suikoden II. The story got me immeadietly, I totally loved Jowy, many of the events happening in there left me in shock and awe and it was so different than FFs and Grandias. The whole plot being more centered around politics and wars, not a main romance which would take the spotlight from all the other characters away etc. The endings made me akdfhf ;______;, the bad and the good one, somehow. Yes, that was different as well, it was the first rpg I knew with multiple endings. xD'
(Also you can't believe how happy I was that there was an alternate good ending when you collect 108 characters, haha. xD')
Okay, at that time the prize for Suikoden I was for me still too high to buy, yeah, Suikoden turned out to be a secret jewel for RPers because it is heavily underrated, but has amazing storylines.
So I bought Suikoden IV when it was released here, after years of anger that Suikoden III never got a Europe-release, granted, Suikoden IV had some elements where you thought worse carbon copy of Suiko II, the enemy-encounter-rate was... haha xD, if it weren't for certain characters, I might have not liked the game at all. But there were characters I loved and then I came to like the game as well. xD
Not much later funnily, Suikoden Tactics found it's way into the market, set around Suiko IV, which funnily made Suiko IV so much more understandable and it was much more fun. Tactics is heavily character-based ( I rather looked forward to the battles where you could have the characters have random convos than the main storyline xD'), but the story was for me solid and enjoyable enough. Yes, I even cried because some parts were just so sad. ;;
One day I accidently found out about the Suikoden III manga and since I knew I would never get to play the game anyways, I bought all 11 volumes of the manga and I love them, still. The storyline is very interesting and hold pretty complex and I enjoy the different points of view between the opposing characters, it is a refreshing change and a pretty unique thing.
Suikoden V finally found it's way here and gosh, it was one of the slowest starts a game must ever had for me, but it gets so amazing and fun to play, especially the women in this game are just made of poor awesome. <3
Suikoden Tierkreis... yeah, I saw my Flist spazzing over it, but since I have no DS I thought I'd never get to play it, but thanks to my husbando, I did and dslkfjdlfjlf, I totally fell in love with it. It's not centered in the regular Suiko-world, but it had interesting plot-points and concepts. <3
Suikoden I came as final... (half in the middle thing) finally, I played it and was firstly amazed how great the cast is which was overtaken to Suiko II, haha. It was a good game, but I do see why people say Suiko II was made better at many points.
Suikoden became my favourite gaming series for it's political/war-centered plot(rather then the typical saving the world-plot), I like the 108 character-system, because it makes the characters feel also more human to me. Everyone has their own relationships from somewhere, establish new ones etc.
I love the more endings-thing, the additional war/duel-systems, the bath-scenes, the comment box and the detective which let you know your characters better. Cooperative attacks, the rune-system etc.
I like how the world of Suikoden builds up it's own culture (except for Tierkreis it is always the same world), customs and the fact that there is always a good batch of re-occuring characters. <3
I just love everything on these games, haha. |D
It's just a rpg which grew on me so much for it's somehow individual charm.
2) Mwu x Murrue
Haha, my Gundam Seed-OTP.
Mwu was the first big brother type I have seen in an anime, I believe. I have enjoyed watching how he cares for his comrades and cheers them up, but manipulates and test them in the very same moment. He is suspicious and cold sometimes, and I really liked that twist in his character.
Not to forget he is the man who makes the impossible possible. ♥
Perhaps he will stay my favourite Gundam character forever. xD
Or at least for now.
Murrue really impressed me. I have first seen her in Gundam Seed Destiny, where she kicked out the hell of the Coordinators as they tried to assassinate Lacus and at the same time she is a gentle, understanding and quite charming woman, who went through a tons of deaths in her life, but doesn't fail to stand up again and lives on.
She is also amazing as a captain. She tries to pull of her duty as a soldier, yet she never forgets human values, even if it brings her into a conflicting situation. I also like she is so human, she is far from being perfect, but she is still absolutely awesome.
As I watched Seed first, I liked the dynamics between them. They go first from comrades to friends and finally they turn into lovers. They flirt a lot, their story isn't pulled out of the blue. I like how they complete each other, in a way.
At first, it is Mwu supporting Murrue, as she was a total newbie to being a captain and cheers her up. While he knows Natarle is often right, he plays the middle-part between the two ladies, but finally, Murrue's ideals are which fascinates him in a way and he falls for her. His love for her is even stronger than his need for honour to prove himself to his father.
Later on, when Mwu's story is revealed, it is Murrue who comforts him and is there for him. She appreciates the whole way long that he is acting cheefully and easy-going, as it makes things a lot easier for her to handle.
And yes, I just love this couple. xD'
3) Ribbons (XD)
Ribbons... what should I say? xD
I didn't care much for him in S1 except that his scenes with Alejandro borderlined creepy, haha. xD'
In S2 I couldn't care much for him until I rped him for a while, that's when I fell in love with this manipulative, childish, hypocritical "it is mine now"-character. I just love him now and he is in the top 5 of my Gundam 00 characters. xD
4) Sailor Moon
Sailor Moon. *_*
My childhood heroine, haha. I watched it when I was in elementary school and the series which brought me into the anime-obsession in the first place.
The series had really nice developed characters, the art is pretty and I personally enjoy how it shows how love and justice prevail always.
Now that I am adult I see a few other points which are kinda attacking modern and old society, but that's beside the point.
I just rewatched the whole thing this summer and found myself crying several times, so... yes, I still love this series. <3
5) YUUKI!**
Gosh, my favourite character in E'S. What should I say about him? He comes off as a money-obsessesed, mean and bitchy, but he is actually so caring, protective and acts according what he thinks is right to do. He knows there is now way to survive only with absolute clean work (not when he is trying out to help the orphans), but he doesn't do work against his own ideals. He is a damnit good cook as well. xD
And gunner. He is also kinda like watching over everyone and his relationship with Asuka is just too cute. <3
I still want to see him as pope, haha. xD
