Haha, I am a bad fan and like Pegasus alive. *sobs* xD
Though yeah, Doom was the first arc I have seen in the original, so I guess I am a bit biased when it comes to it. Compared to the 4!kids-stuff I had seen that far everyone was acting so... grown-up and much more human that they grow onto me the way they were there. xD

Now that I have seen the whole thing - and know a bit - still not much - about the manga, I know that Mai was handled ooc, for she is a person who so strongly believes in her own strength (aside the perfume-trick), that she wouldn't sell herself like that, much less do anything like that to Jyonouchi. Than again, considering she was portrayed a bit weaker in the anime in general, it kinda goes along with it.
Considering Atemu, since his dark side wasn't as much of a topic as it was in the manga, or aka, they haven't shown his kind of crazy side, I think they kind of wanted to make up for that, and gave him the chance to free himself from his dark side, kind of, whereas in the manga he didn't get the chance. The same is perhaps the problem with Seto vs. Gozaburo in the Noah-arc, Seto wasn't supposed to be able to face Gozaburo once again.
Oh, I haven't thought about the thing with the spirits, but when I look especially at Raphael, the monsters still kind of presented his inside (fear of graveyards etc.) and his dark side, so I don't see the problem there.
... is that a problem? I just so it more like... Jyonouchi was chosen because of what he accomplished with his own strength(becoming a true duelist), not the other way round.

Ah, with watching the anime? xD

Oh, what did he say? xD
I just got two Japanese manga, and somehow I always laugh those scenes where everyone is totally serious and only Seto is laughing. xD

Nah, you aren't. As I said, Your Mileage May Vary.

Ah, I see.

Hmm. Interesting theory about the writers making up for Atem's dark side.

*nod* Yeah, cards do represent their owners.

True.

Yeah. I'm still at episode 5X something. Oh well.

"The Ghouls... Rare Card hunters who step on the hearts of those who love collectible card games... I'm going to smash their operation... and then I'm going to smash every single one of them, individually!"

I laughed so hard when I read that line. It's so... I don't know.

T-true, what you have told me about Pegasus in the manga has something for it, too, though, orz. xD

I just realized Doom makes often small references which they left out so far, for example that Honda is frightened of snakes or when Anzu tells to the normal Yuugi he doesn't have to change to the other Yuugi etc. xD

Ah yeah, and the Black Magician tends to act on his own (in the duel with Pandora) and so does the Blue Eyes frequently, so I guess the spirits can be seen kind of as left-overs.

You can do it! Although Pegasus only appears in one episode, if my mind doesn't betray me. xD'

.... xDDD
That's so Seto. xDD

Small references, huh? Interesting...

I've seen that episode with Pegasus. ;p I think I've watched the Yugi vs Pandora duel before, as well as the end of the Kaiba vs Yugi duel. (Dark Paladin! <3)

Yup. xD

I believe you. xDDD
Oh, the one against Pandora is nice (*coughs* Pandora happens to have my favourite seiyuu xD)
and ah, Dark Paladin. <3
So my favourite is perhaps.. brainwashed Jyo vs. Yuugi, Yuugi was so... brave. ;;
