So, I just ordered Uzumaki the movie and the first manga off of Amazon.com and I'm all giddy now. I wanted to order Ju-on (The Grudge) but it looks like they've got some kind of devilish pact with the film makers of the new American release, because Ju-on isn't available until November 4. Honestly I don't really have a problem with Sarah Michelle Gellar being in he movie, because I saw a preview for it today in the theater when I went and saw Hero again. *does a jig* The preview for The Grudge was pretty damn creepy. It's basically the same story with American actors, but the same horribly creepy ghosts. I read somewhere that they collaborated with the original Japanese director, and that it was even shot in Japan. It actually lends to the original story a little bit to have different kinds of people living in the house, so I'll still go see it. I think it's cool to have the new releases of Japanese horror films turning out so well, the film makers are taking alot of care to make sure they don't fuck it up. Makes me feel all fuzzy inside. But seriously, I hope it stops here. The second they touch Suicide Circle i'm taking some heads.
