He tastes like the air before a thunderstorm.

That line really stuck out to me. Very nicely written. Sad and kind of beautiful at the same time.

I read this yesterday just before LJ crashed. Had an elegant reply all thought out. Can't remember a word of it. *laughs* I do remember that I enjoyed this story emensely, though.

She’s just going to forget her name anyway, so it might as well be the same one she’s been forgetting for years.

A gorgeous line. The whole thing is wonderful, but that particular image really encapsulated the feel of the whole piece.
