Ten things you want to do some day.
1. Visit Tristan da Cunha (the most isolated island on the world where people actually live). Supposedly they have an english dialect that is different than anywhere else on Earth.
2. Visit Easter Island. See those funky heads.
3. Visit Antarctica. One of the novels I wrote has a climatic ending in Antarctica.
4. Learn to hunt boar and deer.
5. Learn to ride a motorcycle.
6. Skydive.
7. Do something spectacular for my husband. He loves the NBA so I would love to be able to surprise him with a plane ticket and courtside seats.
8. Own my own house with a productive self sufficient garden and small orchard (plum, yuzu, lemon, lime, apple and cherry trees please).
9. Get published.
10. Have my own business run from my home.

8. Down to Earth.
Seven (semi)interesting things you've pondered or thought about recently.
1. Do fate and destiny exist?
2. Does the plot in my new book work well?
3. What would my life be like if I had never come to Japan the first time?
4. Is there a God or are there Gods?
5. Why do I look 10 kg heavier when I get my picture taken? I'm only 51 kg for goodness sakes.
6. Lady Gaga is a fox. I admire her originality, voice and thinking.
7. Why are the people that elected into power so damned stupid?
Six things you are glad you did.
1. Glad I went to Japan the first time (2004). It set in motion a series of events that have certainly made life interesting.
2. Glad I backpacked in NZ.
3. Glad I married my husband.
4. Glad I wrote a book (s).
5. Glad I work at the school I do, despite sometimes it being an utter mess of custard.
6. Glad I deleted facebook. It sucks your brain.
Five books/movies/tv series/etc that you'd recommend
1. Summer Wars (movie)
2. The Last Lecture (Book)
3. That 70s Show (series)
4. Goemon (movie)
5. His Dark Materials (Book series)
Four silly quirks
1. I get sleepy at like 9.
2. When I cough a few coughs in a row, I always sneeze after.
3. I can squirt milk out my eye (I swear to god)
4. I can do the splits.
Three pet peeves
1. People who walk slow in front of me.
2. I like criticism but this drives me insane - someone who tells you over and over and over in a 30 minute conversation what it is you did wrong. 'You didn't do this or that? Why? Why Why? You know you need to do that? You shouldn't do it that way, you need to do it this way? Why you don't do that?'
3. People that are crabby.
Two things for which you're proud of yourself.
1. I write books although I'm not published yet.
2. I travelled and live overseas when mostly everyone I knew stayed in Canada.
One secret plan.
1. I'm going to be the best writer in the world.
