“Title” -- Season -- Words count
Italic words on drabble are applied for both of them (look at the situation from Echizen’s and Tezuka’s POV) since well, they both think and behave differently even in their similitude. Heck, they even went through the same trials in their tennis career.
You know the drill ;) read, revel, review/ comment

Four Seasons
“Hanami” -- Haru -- 119 words
They each caught a glimpse of each other in the middle of a windy spring with a sacred green field stood in-between. Setting his brows in a most taut line -- making even the sadist of the team morbidly wait in anticipation -- the taller one could not help but keep his normally indifferent gaze on the other. For the weather that day, was much warmer with the younger one’s attitude, or lack thereof. However, the season had yet to change, but their sighting, amongst other things, been reversed already. And this time around, there was an even shorter line, separating their standing. And the older boy had to admit to himself…Not all that glitters in gold grows dreary.
“Matsuri” -- Natsu -- 131 words
Even though he must face hurdles that would make even the strongest Olympic goal runner pass out in exhaustion…For him, that one finish line is absolute. A line, which only those, having found their TRUE selves, could cross. When the older boy had to create half of the world distance between them, no words were needed to show how much the latter preferred to have that one invaluable honor in the other’s eyes. And under the glaring summer sun, a pair of hands shook -- sealing a silent promise for the future in the same sacred place. As he replayed an all-too-familiar -- yet different altogether -- scene from the past season, he inwardly wondered…Would the other ever be honest to himself if he decided to ignore his carefully maintained subtlety?
“Tsukimi” -- Aki -- 132 words
Falling leaves were crushed under the weight of their next meeting. Disillusionment hung in the air, stinging worse than the first physical contact the two boys had ever indulged in. Nonetheless, golden sun never loses its brightness even if the moon is to appear in the sky. And true to the younger boy’s words, that end line was soon traversed. However, nothing was going to hold him in his place, and worry began slipping in. This time, the older one decided to cast his last spell, and the shorter boy couldn’t even protest when a silver necklace adorned his much slimmer neck -- chaining his wings to the earth forever whilst his back was pressed against the other boy’s bedroom door -- a tongue that was not his own in the way.
“Yukimi” -- Fuyu - 129 words
Amidst the unfolding winter, their seasonal ventures were for public knowing pleasure. Not that they would bother to hide or expose this supposedly foreseen connection between them. Questions were thrown, opinions were raised, and actions were taken. But none of the mentioned could break what their faith had pillared. However, it was time to move forward, for everything that has begun, will one day end. And yet -- not having asked of the other, he knows he believes in him. In them. Firmly, the young prince reached out a hand, taking that of his king's, and walking by his side. Because the two of them, together, could part even the thickest of snow and leave trails in that vast ocean of white to guide their way to each other.
