This place
Moving to Louisiana was necessary and good for us in so many ways but in no way are we ever going to stay here. It was like pushing the reset button on life, but I don't want to get stuck in shut down mode! It would kill me to spend the rest of my life around these people. I don't want to sound like I'm better than anyone, but come on! Ignorance is not a virtue! We will use our time here to get our debt paid off and I'm enjoying the chance to get to know my brother and my dad but thats about it. In a couple of years we will so be either in Portland, Seattle, Key West or some other equally great place. Except for Florida I refuse to ever live in the South again. EVER.
I miss intelligent conversation. People here think you are a freak if you don't have five kids by the time you are 22 and the biggest thing people work toward here is having your own "trailer". So many people here have no desire to ever see the world or even learn about it. Its so sad and depressing.
