Who can afford kids? The damn cat takes all my money! We spent almost 5 hours at the emergency room vet for our little (big) mookey. But I have to give props to Alameda East. Even at five hours and lab work and x-rays and after hour emergency care, it was STILL cheaper than the 600 dollars we spent for 30 minutes at the capital hill vets. So first they thought she was diabetic (be still my heart) then figured her sugar was high from high stress and all the other stuff the other vet said was complete hooey, she probably has pancreatitis. She was running a high fever and puking, probably from the pain. Poor kitty. So no new meds, just high protein diet (but not TO high) lots of water and love. I'll need a second job at this rate.
