So here is the 2nd part of my trip last December.
Lombok is an island east from Bali. It isn't very big. They say it takes only 2-3 hours to cross the island. But it has proper cities and all, although many parts of the island is still very close to nature. You will see that in the pix =)

let's go! )

It's nice how they maintain the "freshness" of the place. Usually islands like these get quite polluted when tourism is the livelihood...The horse-drawn carriages must've been a new sight for some ;)
Swimming between islands?!! whoaaa...cool
Those morning sounds are really nice, ne? ^.^ I also love hearing those when we visit the provinces. My hometown is not very urban, so there are times I get to hear the bug sounds and roosters specially during summer, but farther provinces have a different feel, even the smell of morning air is different ^^

Yup, the island opted for small cottages instead of big resorts and hotels that would just ruin the nature. It is developed but still natural and fresh.
And lol true, some ppl might have never seen those carriages before! xD
I was surprised when I heard all those morning sounds. My dad's hometown didn't sound like that (you only hear the roosters, but no bugs) even though the 2 cities are more or less equal in size ^^
