Etain

"...The story of the Celtic moon Goddess Etain ("Shining One") resembles a melodramatic version of the Greek myth of Persephone:
Etain became the second wife of Midir, king of the underworld. Midir's first wife, Fuanmach, grew jealous of Etain and turned her into a fly. Fuanmach then created a wind that blew Etain here and there for several years - until she landed in a glass of wine and was swallowed. Etain was subsequently reborn, becoming the wife of Eochaid, a fertiity god. Soon thereafter, Midir challenged Eochaid to a chess match in order to win Etain back. In the end, Etain had to spend half of year with Eochaid and other half underground with Midir."
