The Yuletide 2007 Random Story link does not appear to be working! This will be fixed.

The stories that pull up through The Randomized Quicksearch Browsing page are all stories in the archive for that fandom, not just those from 2007. You can tell because the "Written for" fields on the index page will list other Yuletides and NYRs. It's just for

It's a good plan! All the software will be different next year, and I'm not sure what the exact setup will be, but that's a definite good idea.
