Sign-Up Reminder + Pinch Hitting
Sign-ups
There are 3 days remaining to sign up to Yuletide. Please check what time the deadline is for you (probably Saturday) and sign up ahead of it!
If you're already signed up, a few things to check:
-Did your sign-up submit? Log in to AO3, go to the collection profile, and look for 'My Sign-up' at the sidebar.
-Are your DNWs clear? We ask you to put DNWs (if you have any) in the optional details box; please also check that you've clearly marked them as DNWs. Your assigned writer may be able to figure out which details are your DNWs and which are your prompts, but this is a potential misunderstanding best avoided.
-If you are writing a letter, is it linked in all your requests?
-Do you know what characters are in the tag set for your fandoms? You can't demand a story about a character who isn't nominated; if offering Any, you might be offering a character you didn't know was there because they didn't appear in the sign-up drop-down.
Pinch Hitting
Every year, pinch hitters support Yuletide by taking on extra writing assignments. To sign on as a pinch hitter, please read the instructions at the AO3 FAQ and at the pinch hit google group.
You don't have to sign up to Yuletide to claim a pinch hit. Signing up to the google group is not a promise to take on a pinch hit. The google group gets around 300-400 posts, the bulk of which are just after the deadline for posting assignments. We will post to the group again before sign-ups close, so if you sign up now, you can test whether or not you're getting the emails/posts/RSS feed notifications.
Veteran pinch hitters are urged to check out available pinch hits in other exchanges, some of which are needed urgently:

Multifandom Trope Fest
The requirements for the above pinch hits vary between exchanges - check the relevant exchange's rules if you're not sure of the fulfilment criteria.
