Possible issue with the fandom: A particular run of the Teen Titans comic book, which is eligible
Evidence for why this fandom should be considered eligible:
This was a specific era of the comic with a distinct team of characters unique to this particular run of the book. The Teen Titans comics itself is not eligible as a Yuletide fandom, with 517 fics eligible including crossovers on FanFiction.Net and 735 fics on AO3.
However, on AO3 as of now, the fic heavily focuses on characters not present in the Wolfman-Perez New Teen Titans era. Out of the 735 eligible fics in the “Teen Titans (Comics)” tag, there are 657 with the character Tim Drake, 522 with Conner Kent, 189 with Bart Allen, and 168 with Cassie Sandsmark. None of these characters were a part of the Wolfman-Perez run and in fact did not appear until Geoff Johns took over the book in the 2000’s. Another character frequently tagged in Teen Titans fics is Jason Todd, at 173 fics, but to the best of my knowledge, Jason Todd has never been a regular and recurring member of any Titans team.
Comparatively, characters involved in the Wolfman-Perez New Teen Titans have far fewer fics about them: Koriand’r (Starfire) is tagged in 84, Garfield Logan is tagged in 51, Donna Troy is tagged in 46, and Victor Stone is tagged in 36.
Teen Titans as a comics series overall may not qualify as a Yuletide fandom, but the comic is by nature a crossover series, with an ever-changing ensemble cast and members swapping in and out throughout the years. The fic for this fandom is primarily being written for the more modern incarnations of the team with those modern era characters, not for the Wolfman-Perez characters.
