Assignment Deadline and Default Deadline
Your assignments are due in 2 weeks, at 9am UTC on 18 December.

Before this deadline, you need to have uploaded a complete story of 1,000 or more words for one of your recipient’s fandoms, including all the characters they required you to include. It’s okay if the story is not your final draft - you can keep editing - but it should be a story that can stand on its own as a story.
Halfway between now and then, at 9am UTC on 11 December (in your timezone | a countdown) is the default deadline. If you default before the deadline and you have not defaulted in recent Yuletides, you can sign up next year with no problem. If you default after the deadline, or if you default before the deadline but you have also defaulted in a recent Yuletide, you may need to complete a NYR fic or other fic to sign up again. More details are here in the FAQ. You don’t need to tell us why you’re defaulting - simply press the default button.
