Thanks for all of your corrections!

Some corrections require a bit more input. If you were the nominator, or are closely involved in the fandom, could you please comment on the following questions by 9pm UTC 30th Sept (When is this for me?):

I might be obtuse (I'm very tired) but I kind of feel like you are contradicting yourself?

(Keep in mind that I am someone in favour of splitting them, because I do feel like giving a character a different backstory makes them different - particularly T1 and Genisys Sarah)

But you are in favour of the multiverse approach, but you want them nommed under the general tag? Because I would say that if you support the multiverse approach, then nomming all the distinct parts of the series separately would make more sense, not less. They are then, by definition, different versions of the same characters (canonical AUs).

Comics definitely approach each alternate universe as a separate canon, so I don't know why movies would be any different? Genisys is a reboot of the franchise. It also happens to be a sequel, but I think the reboot element takes precedence given the changes it made to canon.

The canon diverged (in Sarah's childhood) and hence it is an official canon divergence.

Anyway, tl;dr: the different versions of the characters are different people and have different dynamics with each other, and I would want to know ahead of time which dynamic I would be writing if I offered it.

I disagree-I think that the canon in this case treats each character as a consistent single person, despite the variations. And existing AO3 tags do, too. I get the inclination to divvy them up, but I think that the way canon has handled things also makes it hard to do so consistently (short of separating out every movie).

Don't get me wrong, I'll write for the fandom no matter what. That's just my take!
