There are currently 2026 fandom nominations remaining, and 1599 fandoms and 7048 characters approved!

(The Alliance-Union universe is a bit complicated as far as which books are included in which sub-series, though. In some cases, it's clear-cut, in others, less so. It could probably argued that all the nominated characters could be included under the Company Wars umbrella.)

I don't mind a split, but as minutia_r said, it's not clear how one should partition the canon. Also, while this universe functions somewhat like Discworld wrt continuity*, it is a much smaller fandom, and in a past year when I attempted to nominate by subseries, the names I tried don't seem to have been easily recognizable (at least by the decline-blip that year in requests and offers).
If you do choose to split, the nominated characters appear in the following books:
Cyteen/Regenesis: Ariane Emory I, Grant ALX-972
Downbelow Station: Signy Mallory, Damon Konstantin, Elene Quen, Joshua Talley
The other Company Wars books: Allison Reilly, Bet Yeager, Capella, Meg Kady; also Signy Mallory, Joshua Talley
* It even has "subseries" that the fandom treats as separate entities-- e.g. the fandoms traditionally nominated as The Chronicles of Morgaine and Chanur Series technically come from the same universe, but everyone knows they're not in the intended canon for an ( ... )

(I could also start a discussion about partition, but that doesn't really belong here. Also I think in past years 40,000 in Gehenna has also appeared as a separate entity.)

(While we appreciate you taking heed of the general guidelines and deliberately splitting it off, this has a lot of leeway based on a) overall size of fandom; b) fans' preference; and c) what has been approved before.)
