I hadn't planned to be up at this hour, being in Sweden it's well past midnight and I'm all partyed out as Christmas Eve is the big day here. But here I sit nevertheless. It's my first Yuletide and I feel very excited!

But seeing a gift in my inbox that can't be opened yet is... a teeny bit frustrating, lol.

(I'm Jewish. Seeing presents under a tree that I couldn't open until Dec 25th isn't part of my tradition. Hannukah presents were always brought out from hiding places at the proper time. They weren't sitting there mocking me!)

Ah well. Soon enough...

Is It Yuletide Yet? is an unofficial site. Their counter seems to be tied to time zone of the person viewing the site, which appears to be an oversight on their part.

Just thought I'd give anyone relying on it a heads-up.

Heya, quick q: if I have treats that I haven't finished, can I still post them to the main archive after the reveal, or should they go to Madness, or...?

I was just going to ask this. The rules about treats in the FAQ aren't very clear to someone new to posting treats (i.e. me) and I don't wanna mess this up.

Auuuuugh I thought I could finish them by today but I'm living in a new timezone and NOPE apparently not.

Treats go in Madness for the next 24 hours. After that you can hold them for the New Year's Resolutions collection, which will open after author reveals.
