A few announcements before we get to the questions:
We'll be opening the tag-set tomorrow. I have a few fixes to get in, and the edit page is much more responsive at 6am EDT than it is in the evening.
The tagmods have been working day and night checking stats and characters and numbers and things. We might be a little sleep-deprived, but we're still working.
Stats:
5766 nominations (individual, not per person). These stack so we don't know how many fandoms were nominated.
22 nominations - highest number for a single fandom - Sleepy Hollow
1204 nominations left to go (as of my last reload).
1000 - average number of nominations the tag mods have got through each day.
2620 fandoms approved (though a handful need to be merged or otherwise fixed)

We only rejected 2-3 fandoms where the list was gutted after these character rejections. Logan | Wolverine | James Howlett barely slipped through this year. Enjoy him while he lasts.
We have not had to reject any Real People who hit the character limit, though we have rejected a handful of RPF fandoms where the fandom itself was clearly over the fandom limit.
The mods have decided that in light of the revelation that one of the characters nominated in Ghost Soup Infidel Blue (Reboot) is the immortal cloned vampre twin brother of one of the characters nominated in Ghost Soup Infidel Blue that we have to consider the new series a continuation rather than a reboot and we have merged the two fandoms. If anyone has a reasonable objection to this, please elaborate in the comments.
For the Gentleman Bastard Sequence The twinset was nominated, but as one twin was also nominated separately, the twinset was accepted as the other twin, as both have canonicals in the archive.
Historical RPF was accepted as Lewis & Clark RPF as that was the most logical designation for the three characters remaining.

Age of Apocalypse was used as a fandom tag without disambiguation - from the characters we can tell it’s Marvel comics, but there were a few comics with Age of Apocalypse in the title, and it was also the name for a whole crossover event.

Eien no Filena | Eternal Filena - novels, anime, or RPG
Diabolik Lovers - we have one nom for the Visual Novels and one for a unspecified version. There's a visual novel, a bunch of drama CDs, a manga, and a new anime for that.
Hyperdimension Neptunia - the games or the anime?
Wire in the Blood - book(s) or movie? Multiple noms, only canonical on AO3 is for the TV series (Wire in the Blood is the canonical, and Wire in the Blood (TV) is synned to it) - but only noncanonical character nominated seems to only appear in the books.

Fresne - Marie de France: Please identify the Conrad nominated. We haven't been able to find him in the translations available to the tag set.

Classical Greek and Rome Literature & History RPF - Cleopatra Selene, do they mean I or II? Cleopatra Selene I was the daughter of Ptolemy VIII Physcon and Cleopatra III of Egypt and Queen of Syria at some point. Cleopatra Selene II was the daughter of Cleopatra VII and Marcus Antonius.
