Reminder: Write if you need an AO3 account!
Hey! If you, or someone you know, wants to sign up for Yuletide, but they don't have an AO3 account, or they're in the queue to get an invite to the AO3, and it's telling them they'll get it sometime in December, have them write to me at yuletide@yuletidetreasure.org, and I can get them one right away!
And I just want to take the time to do something I meant to do earlier:
In case you haven't noticed, the 1060 or so fandoms that were left Uncategorized, because they had never had stories uploaded to the AO3, and therefore had never come to the awareness of the AO3 tag wranglers*, HAVE ALL BEEN WRANGLED. We didn't expect them to be wrangled until possibly stories were uploaded for them, but the tag wranglers got the go ahead, and by late last night my time, had wrangled all but about 150, and those were gone by the time I checked this morning!
I promptly wrote AO3 support, with the subject: Tags, and asked the whole damn group to marry me. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 I was verklempt, and THAT'S HARD TO DO. *kof*
Seriously, you guys, the AO3 volunteers bend over backwards to help make Yuletide even shinier and smoother than it was to start with. Support deals with an increase in requests, the wranglers work their fool heads off, the coders make it all go, and put down plenty of virtual pillows for the bumpy rides when we try to take the servers out with our sheer exuberance! So, if you see an AO3 volunteer, give 'em a hug; they deserve it!
*Okay, some of them are fandoms that are already in the AO3, under variant names, because sometimes we are forced to get a little creative...
