One of the things we've tried to do in the past is collect prompts from people who claimed and uploaded pinch hits who were not signed up for Yuletide. Aw, this is a lovely surprise! I really enjoyed my 11th-hour pinch hit this year, and I had fun pinch-hitting again last year. Given how crazy my Decembers can be these days, that's the only way I can reliably participate in Yuletide any more.

Anyhow, prompts! I would be delighted with genfic in any of these fandoms, but I've put prompts if people would like to use them.

1. Angry Birds

I would love a parody of some bit of war literature (novel, poetry) or movie with the birds and the pigs.

2. How to Train your Dragon
Gen
Something about Hiccup and/or Stoick adjusting to life after the end of the movie.

3. The Princess and the Frog
Something with Tiana learning to cook from her daddy, or Tiana attempting to teach Lottie how to cook.

She had ink on her fingers and smear near the corner of her mouth. But her hair was tidy. Somehow her hair was always tidy except when she let it loose about her shoulders. What shoulders...

"Daniel? Are you listening to me? We must do something about it. No one should live in such conditions. It's shocking."

"Yes," he said. He had not heard her, but he was certain that she was right.

"What can we do?" She began to pace.

The children were in bed. The house was quiet. He took out his handkerchief and cleaned the ink from her face, marveling. She looked like porcelain, but she was strong. He swept her into his arms and sat down on the couch with her in his lap.

He would have laughed at the surprised OH of her mouth, but he buried his face in her lilac scented bosom and for five minutes, just five minutes wanted to think of nothing, but her. Her scent. Her body. The troubles of the world could wait. They would always be there.
