Help us test! :D
Hey all -- before we can open signups, we need to deploy the next round of code to the AO3 (which includes new challenge-signup features for Yuletide and also some hefty performance improvements, we hope *g*).
This is going to take some doing, because this deploy ALSO includes an upgrade to the latest version of Ruby on Rails, which means -- dun dun dunnnnn -- regression test! (Regression test basically means "Test ALL the things!!!")
So if any of you are free tomorrow and willing to play guinea pig for a little while, our awesome testers committee is running a testing party! Here are the details:
You don't have to be an expert or have had any testing experience, just someone who has used the archive and knows how its basic functionality works, and to be able tell us what might look wrong or isn't working properly. We'll have some people in the chat to help you out. :)

When: Sunday 24 October 2010. We're running two sessions (twice the excitement): 1100 UTC/GMT (what time is that where I live?) - 1500 UTC/GMT and 1700 UTC/GMT (what time is that where I live?) - 2100 UTC/GMT
What do I need to bring: Yourself. We will explain all at the time. :)
Come along for an hour or for the whole thing if you like. Any time you can give us is greatly appreciated.
The quicker we test (and fix the bugs *g*), the sooner we can deploy to the archive and open signups, so if you are champing at the bit, this is the best way to help!
