I'm just getting back to catching up on the drabbles. This was lovely. I like the insight on how Frodo felt about being blindfolded after what he got to see at the reveals on the quest. And Gandalf's contribution to the fire place. (-:

One of my favorite memories is of those little cans of some sort of chemicals you could throw on a fire and make the flames blue and green and purple and pink, as well as the usual red/orange/yellow. I figure since Gandalf was into fireworks, he'd know all about that!

Oh, yay! Happy Frodo = happy Shirebound! What a lovely filling of that prompt.

Beautiful scene to unfold. I love how you tie back Frodo's being blindfolded to other instances in the Quest. :)

Twice on the Quest he was blindfolded; and twice he was rewarded for his patience by sights of beauty! I thought perhaps those memories might make the experience less disconcerting for him than for most people.

Elven voices singing a Shire carol...you actually brought a tear to my eye. That is so lovely!

I loved the idea of the Elves singing a homely hobbit carol. I had to cut it out for word count, but the one I was thinking of was "The Tuckborough Carol", which I wrote back in 2006:

Light the Yule log, blazing cheer ( ... )
