Regarding AO3 Support Requests: Do Not Request Fandom and Character Tags Additions/Changes

We know that some fandom/character tags which were nominated did not make it onto our final list due to time pressures and technical issues, and therefore are not available for you to request/offer during signup. We're very sorry about this! The awesome team of wranglers worked like crazy to get as many input and wrangled as possible in the short time available.
However, because changing the tag set at this stage would affect existing sign-ups it is not possible to add any new tags. Please do not submit a request to AO3 support asking for tags to be added/changed, as they can't help, and are working very hard already! We hope you can still find a sign-up that works for you, and we'll work on making the process smoother and less hectic next year.

We realize that there were some particularly unfortunate omissions, including the issue of main characters being omitted when they lend their names to the fandoms. ie, no Caspian in Prince Caspian, no Winnie-the-Pooh in Winnie-the-Pooh, no Charlie Jade in Charlie Jade. For this particular problem, and only in this case, we do recommend that you enter any other characters you want, and then specify in your optional details which are optional that you'd like to see the main character, as well -- with the understanding that this may not happen. Again, our apologies that this was not caught in time.
Note: The above is a special case! Please do not make a habit of requesting characters that you could not select through the interface, or specifying characters in your optional details when you didn't input any in the character box. This can sometimes cause unhappiness for your writer, who may have matched with you because they named specific characters, while you requested "any". This doesn't mean you can't make various suggestions of kinds of stories you'd like, but be careful!
