I know what you mean! The character list is the hard one, because I have to make sure I get the right character names in. I'm requesting fandoms with characters who have first names only, which makes it tough.

Those will usually have a fandom in parentheses in the canonical tag for clarification, so you know. That's how the tags tend to work :)

I'd figured that out, but getting them to load in any reasonable amount of time - if at all - with said parentheses is difficult. Which is making an accurate sign-up difficult.

If you can load the page with the tag for the fandom itself, that'll have all the child tags listed in forms you can use to filter them.

Only for one of my fandoms (Gosford Park), many characters had both forms. So I could select "Elsie" and "Elsie (Gosford Park)". Does anyone know what will happen if I requested "Elsie (Gosford Park" and someone offered "Elsie"? Will that still match?

I don't believe it will. If possible, everyone should sign up for the least ambiguous form of the name available (to maximize the number of people signing up for the same tags).
