Looking for a beta, or to be a beta? Comment here!

Wow, you guys are on the ball! Good thing I checked before posting a Dear Santa post! Much thanks to xsmoonshine, that was very thoughtful! The only correction I'd make is that if your story is under 1000 words (as measured by our computer elves), it simply won't allow you to upload at all! As devilchild says, why use one word when three will do.... *kof*

I see that a couple lovely folks have already offered their beta services! For ease of locating, this post will serve as a place-holder for anyone interested in offering beta services. You do not have to be a Yuletide participant! You can offer fandom-specific betas, and/or general technical betas. And if one of the participants feels they really need a fandom knowledgeable beta, and they can't find one, you can write to me at the yuletide address, and I will see if anyone else offered that fandom and is willing to serve as a beta. Please use this service sparingly! And consider that the people I will be contacting are also workign on Yuletide stories; you probably won't want to wait until the very last minute to contact them, or to get your story to them.

(if you already posted a "willing to beta" post, you might want to move or reproduce it here, so it's more easily findable!)

Reminders: Please don't contact us about a missing assignment until your assignment has been missing at least 24 hours from the time sign-ups close. We did have some brief technical difficulties which would have spread delivery out a bit, and the internets are quirky and whimsical!

And please do consider a letter to your Santa, either in your own LJ, with a pointer in a comment to the Santa post, or on the Santa post itself, if you don't have an LJ. This may be particularly important if you didn't put any details in your requests! We've already had a couple puzzled people wondering if our elves got hungry!
