I'm all eager to get involved, so I'll give a little explanation of the fandoms I will personally be nominating - all three, as they are so very small...
Fandom: Eastern Promises Why this fandom rocks: It's got so many elements that make it ripe for the fic'ing! The excitement of the Russian mob, the repression of the Russian mob, the canonically gay UST (arguably one-sided, but not if you're me)! Extreme moral ambiguity! Substance abuse! Viggo Mortensen! An enormous cliffhanger that'll never be resolved because the studio dropped the sequel to make other wonderful films like 50 Shades of Grey (no joke)! Lots of space for a PG fic about what happens after the film, and if you want to ship it like Fedex, so does most of the fandom.
Fandom: Rope Why this fandom rocks: Look, we all know Hannibal's the big and happening thing, right? But it's over now - at least, for the foreseeable future. Want to get your fill of more horribly unhealthy relationships? How about I sweeten the deal by throwing 1950s aesthetic into the mix? Based on the

I look forward to What We Do in the Shadows! Wellingtonian here, so the idea of awkward vampires trying to go clubbing in the middle of town, or drinking at a pub where I've had pub quizzes, will never not be funny.
Fandom: Otto the Book Bear Why this fandom rocks: This is a children's picture book about a tiny bear who is an illustration in a book! He comes alive when people aren't around, and explores his surroundings and his city, and is overall just the cutest. There's a lot of interesting world building potential -- just how do the book illustrations interact with their world? Can illustrated animals travel into new books instead of just read them?
But most importantly, it's adorable, and full of a genuine love of books. (Seriously, the ~~beautiful place~~ Otto finds is a library <3). Other characters include another book bear named Ernest, as well as a witch, a dragon, lion, a plane, a dog who fences with an alligator, and many other book creatures!

Fandom: FASHION STAR FILLIES Category: Other Comments: Just figuring out the nature of this fandom alone is the potential! These horses... they're rockstars, artists, country singers, models, royalty! What is their purpose? How are they doing this?
Are they just this to other horses? Are they in an all-horse world?
Or are they in our world, sharing the tabloids with the Kardashians?
They're bright pastel! MAYHAPS THEY ARE ALIENS.
And how appropriate is Country Singer for a horse anyway?
How about 'sassy' teenage horses in leg warmers! All this and more for Fashion Star Fillies!
Basically my request is gonna be 'SOMEONE DO SOMETHING WITH THIS'
(Bonus: Is there a feud with the Kardashians or fictional famous people?)

Fight! Zine, SeulcrantzSeptember 24 2015, 22:59:19 UTC
Fandom: Fight! Zine Category: Other Comments: This was a great project where a bunch of people created their own fighting game characters (all ladies) for a game that didn't exist. My particular favourite was the character Seul, whose entire info was posted online!
The fight game could be anything, but what I really want is a story about Seul. She's a magical girl trapped mid-transformation after a horrific event. What was she part of before this? What were her lost comrades like? This is you chance to make up your own magical girl world. Links:1. http://fightzine.tumblr.com/... )
Fandom: A Single Man (2009) [Trailer] WTF is This?: Tom Ford's directorial debut; one day in the life of British English-professor-in-California George Falconer (Colin Firth, in the role he should have won his Oscar for IMO) in November 1962, with flashbacks, as he struggles with depression and grief following the traumatic death a few months earlier of his long-time partner Jim (Matthew Goode). Also features Julianne Moore and Nicholas Hoult, as well as giving some screen time to Lee Pace, Ginnifer Goodwin, and supermodel Jon Kortajarena. Why This Rocks: First of all, this is a visually stunning movie in terms of production design and pretty people, and it also has an absolutely gorgeous soundtrack thanks to Abel Korzeniowski and Shigeru Umebayashi. Second of all, as the quick hook above suggests, it has onscreen, canon m/m, of a somewhat historical variant given that it's set in 1962 with flashbacks to the 1940s. If you like repressed, somewhat flawed men struggling with their feelings, men crying, age difference m/m (including some

I keep meaning to watch this movie, especially since I've seen it talked about a bit for Yuletide here and there this year. I'll have to carve out time to give it a watch!
