yuleswaps 2014: swap the yuletide fantastic! sign ups! CLOSED!!
Okay, well, TEAM SWAPS did not get off the ground as fast as hoped, sorry for worrying anybody. But! After some bailing wire, spit and a tin can*, we are READY TO DO THOSE SIGN-UPS. So fear not, gentle Yuletider**, we are ready and waiting for you.
Before you swappers get filling out them forms, a few reminders and links:
We are trying our best to stay ahead of holiday package mail, and thus are trying our hand at some shorter timeframes to better deal with these things.And without further ado, here be our current schedule:

- New here? Confused? Click here.
- Please remember, we're changing the pinch-hit sign-ups! To whit: pinch-hitters will buy their stuff at the same time they purchase their normal package stuff and then we will tell you guys as need arises to send out those packages.
- If you signed up to pinch-hit from the start because maybe you'd have to send packages, maybe you wouldn't, we'll tell you if you should be ready to send out packages at the same time as we send out general assignments this year. And we may match you at the start of the process just so we know you have a package.
- The first anticipated wave of telling pinch hitters about defaulters is going to be after the deadline of sending. However! We may also tap people very soon after the start of assignments as circumstances change for swappers, so be prepared!
- If you signed up for pinch-hitting later on in the process, at the last minute or beyond...sorry, I'm afraid I still don't know what it looks like for you exactly, but it may involve "go buy candy/a book/some tea or coffee, like, today. And send it in the next week." Please keep that in mind!
- Please remember that shipping internationally is really expensive, and your package shipping may be slow and or costly, to the tune of about 25 dollars or whatever the local currency equivalent is. Or more.
- We are sorry if any of these changes mean that you have to give up a part of swaps you were interested in, but we really want to err on the side of "humanly possible."
