Vetting period ended.

Oct 07, 2013 12:21

We've ended the call for corrections and locked the last two posts. We will carefully consider the last few challenges and make the last few fixes. Sign-ups will open at some point this afternoon or early evening, EDT.

We thank you for all the time you spent pouring over the tag set and all the fixes you've brought to our attention.

Addressing the points raised by this comment would cast you in a much more sympathetic light than freezing all the comment threads.

Also, not impressed with the way you've handled the Elementary thing (or the Gwen Stacy thing, even if that's not my fandom).

Is there anywhere I can go now to check what fandom/characters will be available for request?

The tag set will remain open unless the form for fixing things becomes horribly slow. If it does, there will be an announcement when it closes and when it reopens. Please note that there are still about a dozen fixes to be made, so there will still be things changing during the process.

Thank you for updating the FAQ with the new rules. :) I was freaking out about sign ups opening soon and it helped to reread the new rules with it all spelled out clearly!

Are we sure the anonymous creator thing is going to be functional? Because last year for no apparent reason it didn't mask my friend's comment to her recip (shown here).

Just wondering if we had any explanations on what might have caused that/how to make sure it didn't happen again?

Was your friend logged into her AO3 account, though? From my end it looks like she was commenting anonymously and just typed in her username in the name field, which would indeed cause the anon-creator thing to not work. You need to be logged in for it.

Girl With a Pearl Earring (2003) is showing up in literature, but the novel was written in 1999 -- 2003 is the movie.

It's showing up in both due to underlying wrangling. It's not something we're permitted to change, but the book would have the author attached, not the date.
