Fandoms in the Marvel Ultimate Universe

We have reviewed the complaints many of you have had about the Marvel Ultimates nominations. Due to the confusion surrounding the decisions we’ve made regarding this particular fandom, after consulting with tag mods familiar with the fandom, we’ve decided to elaborate on the process behind it and its review.

Given all the comments asking the same questions, we have decided to address it here, rather than answering separately. In Ultimate Comics Spider-Man, only Gwen's clone appears, not Gwen herself. Thus she is considered a separate character. Therefore this decision stands.

I'd like to challenge this.

First: You've made the post-nominations decision to restrict all of the nominations for "Spider-Man (Ultimateverse)" to only the current volume, Ultimate Comics Spider-Man, and now you're penalizing users for not anticipating that the fandom would be modified in such a way that only the clone incarnation would qualify?

Second: Not only that, but as I stated above, there is no indication in the current run of UC:SM - apparently the only run that matters - that the Gwen Stacy that Miles is interacting with is a clone. A fan who has only read the current volume of Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man - again, the only volume that mods have decided applies - would not know that she is a clone.

Third: Why is Gwen Stacy out because nobody thought to stick "clone" into their nom, when all of the following clarifying questions have been asked about other nominations?

Fresne - Marie de France: Please identify the Conrad nominated. We haven't been able to find him in the translations available to the tag set.

The Day Magic Died - Ian Fallis We haven't been able to identify Akamon or Tika

Now and Again (TV) - no Rachel Wiseman - is Heather or Lisa meant?

Classical Greek and Rome Literature & History RPF - Cleopatra Selene, do they mean I or II? Cleopatra Selene I was the daughter of Ptolemy VIII Physcon and Cleopatra III of Egypt and Queen of Syria at some point. Cleopatra Selene II was the daughter of Cleopatra VII and Marcus Antonius.

2046 (2004) Two characters are ambiguous: Su Li Zhen and Wang Jing Wen/Android
Hafez (14th century Persian poet) nominated with characters Hajji Zayn al-Attar, Shakh-e Nabat. We'd like clarification on whether this is intended to a rpf nom with these three characters.
Hellsing anime or manga?
Radioactive (Music Video) needs an artist. There are many, many videos to various versions of this song.
A Time to Kill Book or movie?
Winx Club comics or cartoons
19th Century CE France RPF Alexandre Dumas pere or fils?

Characters we have been unable to identify:

Fresne - Marie de France - Conrad
Now and Again - Rachel Wiseman
Valentine (2008) - Tucker Flumsbach

Why do all of those nominations merit clarification and consideration, but not this one, which was perfectly fine before all of the merging and unmerging and narrowing of fandoms?

ETA, fourth: The distinction between Gwen Stacy and her clone is meaningless and unfair. I mentioned it in my previous comment in an attempt to helpfully clarify why there might have been confusion if you were consulting a resource that classified them differently. I wouldn't have bothered if I'd anticipated it would be used as an excuse to disqualify her.
