It has the weird double effect of burying Spider-Man (which tends to be the Ultimate title that Yuletide participants are most interested in) where people aren't going to look for it while also making it harder for, say, whoever nominated Johnny and Susan or Wanda and Pietro to match on those characters if someone who might otherwise have offered Ultimates, Ultimate X-Men, or Ultimate Fantastic Four in addition to Ultimate Spider-Man ends up only offering Spider-Man characters.

If I had to guess how it broke down originally, I'd say it was probably four or five separate nominations for Spider-Man (Ultimateverse), an Ultimate Fantastic Four nom for Johnny and Susan Storm, an Ultimate X-Men nom for Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, and one or two Ultimates nominations for Monica Chang, Sam Wilson, Carol Danvers, and Janet Pym - plus maybe Nick Fury (who's ineligible) and Jessica Drew (who was definitely nominated under UC:SM but could have been nommed in both). That's four sets of characters rolled into one, and in terms of what people will actually be requesting they aren't likely to see a lot of overlap.
