You guys have the film The Road to Morocco listed as On the Road to Morocco, which is not its title. It's just one word but I think it qualifies as " ambiguous and may cause confusion during signups" because when I saw it nominated, I did a doubletake and had to check the character list to know if it was one of my favorite films or not. I'd hate for someone else to miss it!

... and actually, technically there isn't a "the" there, it's "Road to Morocco" ...

Characters Joachim Armster, Leon Belmont, Mathias Cronqvist, and Walter Bernhard are misplaced. They should be moved from Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow & Dawn of Sorrow to Castlevania: Lament of Innocence

Uncategorised Fandoms - Poldark is both a series of novels by Winston Graham and a BBC TV series. I'm fairly sure I know who nominated - I'll PM to see if she has a preference.

I did nominate Poldark, with encouragement from lost_spook, and I really don't have a preference, since I have both versions and think of them as closely inter-related. I was hoping that having both forms available would widen the pool, rather than narrow it.

If I have to choose, then books over TV, though I will continue to see everyone as played by the people in the series.

:-)

There are some slight changes to events in the TV series, but the story and characters are the same - although, of course, the books carry on further, as Winston Graham wrote them for about 20 years after the TV version stopped. I know both versions as well. It's not my nomination, of course, though!! lferion was trying to be kind and accommodate us both. (I'm currently watching the 1970s series for the first time and falling in love with the leads.) I can see there might be an issue for someone offering the TV series and getting a request for the later, non-dramatised books, though.

Although whether anyone who wasn't either of us would offer or request it anyway, who knows?

It can stay as it is, if you want -- it's entirely probable that most Poldark fans are familiar with both. And if they're familiar with only one, I suspect it would be the TV, so it might be best to leave it alone. It may be a toss-up; those who only know one may not go if it's not specific, but if you go specific, it may mean people familiar with the other one won't chance it.

The issue is greater for some of the fandoms where "All Media" covers not just two sources, but includes cartoons, video games, TV *and* movies sometimes, etc. The more types, the less likely it may be that someone familiar with only part of the sources will risk it.

I nominated the character Kenzi in the theater fandom Black Watch and (or at least I'm assuming that's what happened) a wrangler thought that I was referring to the character Kenzie from the television fandom Lost Girl. I swear, they are two different characters!

There's also a Kenzi (or is it Kenzie?) on the TV show NCIS: Los Angeles. I'd never heard the name before then, and now there's a multiplicity of them!

Oh goodness, the Kenzie I trying to nominate IS spelled with an ie! (This is why one should never thesis and LJ at the same time. *g*) I'm fairly sure that this was a mix-up with Lost Girl because I don't think that NCIS:LA is eligible any more, but I know what you mean about the name. It's an awesome name, I just have NO IDEA why it's suddenly so popular!

ETA: Okay, sadly with just an 'i', since I hadn't seen the followup yet. I'm going to leave it, because it's kind of a chore for a spelling issue that shouldn't affect people knowing who it is. I hope that's okay.
