Oh Rory! God, I am all teary-eyed right now. I love the colour palette you choose for this - it just adds to the sadness of the piece.

Eee! Thank you! I love the melancholy air to this - oh Rory! His face in particular is both stoic and sad. I love the pose and the perspective you chose, which makes him look a little hunched and lonely. It works so well with the theme and the very unsaturated colours.

Thanks so much for indulging my historical costume geekitude. I love the Elizabethan period (eta *cough* 16th century Italian, too - got a bit distracted!) (his jerkin and little neck ruff!) and the quote is just awesome.
