Temeraire! I am not sure if there's an ebook of it, but the copies are mostly cheap? The books go like this:

His Majesty's Dragon by Naomi Novik (red book)
Throne of Jade (green)
Black Powder War (black, lol)
Empire of Ivory (blue)

The fifth book is coming out in July! How exciting~ I forgot the title, though. XD;;

But if you want to join the RP, it's actually fine even if you don't read Temeraire? Basically, dragons are part of our world, and they are used by people in various ways. In China, they are Very Important. In England, they are looked down upon and mostly assigned to the Aerial Corps, which is their aerial counterpart to the Navy.

In this RP, in America, they're mostly part of society and also in the Corps (because of the war). In canon, each dragon gets a 'captain', or a human partner to control it, plus a crew depending on the size of the dragon. For example, a really big dragon that's bigger than your house will have some thirty men on it as its crew (midwingmen, ground crew, dragon surgeon, riflemen, lieutenant, etc), and these are the guys who have the bombs and the rifles and shit, and they also end up being the dragon caretaker. They are sort of lying around in a harness strapped under the dragon belly. X3 Smaller dragons (especially those who are used as couriers), might have only their captain on board, or lesser crew. Think of the dragons as living and flying ships. XD There are some variations, of course, like the sea dragon. Some dragons are also feral, but for the sake of this RP, they're all in the corps.

WHAT LEADERSHIP. I'M JUST GOOD AT DOING WHAT NO ONE ELSE WANTS TO DO. orz.

I'll check if I ever remember to go back to the library or bookstore 8D; *makes note*

Sounds simple enough, but I should read the books anyway.

HAHAHA, EXACTLY. That's what "leadership" means most of the time when you are in control of a group online, hahaha.
