(no subject)
Today was the release of Pokemon HGSS.
Of course, being in love with Gold version and following this story since they announced it in Japan, I HAD to get a copy!
Here is a pic heavy story :)
First, my girlfriend got up at 6am to get ready. Toys r us was an hour drive, and we wanted to make sure there weren't lines and such :P
We stopped at the local McDonalds and got grossheatlamped McMuffins
Haha how cute :3
I forgot to mention that the entire night (up until about 4am) we played Super Smash Brothers Brawl...
Sleeps was necessary :P
I showed up in a Pikachu hoodie :3
Here are some pics of the actual event which was located by the video games.
So this is what my girlfriend ended up getting...
She got SoulSilver of course
And then I made out like a bandit! haha! I actually helped out with the event. The kids were drawn to the pikachu hoodie, and before you know it, I have 3-5 kids swarming me with their DS's wanting to battle/trade etc.
In return I got to keep the HGSS tarp they put over the tables. I also may be able to get the banner if I go back later to pick it up.
AND OH MY GOSH!!! YOU WONT BELIEVE THIS!!!
WITHIN 5 MINUTES OF PLAYING THE GAME....SERIOUSLY LIKE RIGHT AFTER TELLING THE COPS THE NAME OF THE BOY...
THIS IS WHAT I FOUND!!
haha! I was like "ooooooh wtf its yellow?" then it did the shine..
I started laughing hysterically because I know people who spent weeks attempting to get a shiny. I just got the damn game!
What a great day really. Getting the remake of my favorite pokemon game. I remember 10 years ago roughly, standing in line with my dad to get Gold and Silver.
Now I get to re-live the feeling of being a kid again :D
