Anyway, about the day's events yesterday.
I went out with
akioshi_chan to Midvalley yesterday and we did a whole lot of shopping! I bought one more romance book and a new pair of gloves! We each both bought a piece of chocolate cheese cake from Secret Recipe and gave each other plushies presents~ Thank you, baa-chan!
I took the LRT back but it was delayed and when it arrived half an hour later, it was really packed. I felt disgusted at the antics of some passengers as they pushed and shoved their way in without any consideration for the passengers coming out. Heck, some of them insisted on going in although there clearly wasn't any space left and they would not let the train door close. -___-;;; I got on the next train, but the journey was really horrible- we were all squashed in like a can of sardines and the woman in front of me had to call her friend's cell to talk to her because they got separated.
My uncle and aunt picked me up from the station and we met my cousins at a restaurant. After that, we went to eat more cake~ lol We sang songs and I got to blow out a candle! Not telling you my wish, though. =P
That's all for the day. I had to study after that for my exam today and I was dead tired...

I went to watch Iron Man with my cousins and I love the movie so much!!!!! ♥ I had never seen any of Robert Downey Jr.'s movies before, but I was GREATLY impressed by his performance in this one.
Iron Man is so wonderfully directed. Jon Favreau made it a departure from the usual superhero movies in taking a more light-hearted direction. Tony Stark is an intelligent multi-billionaire and owner of Stark Industries, a weapons manufacturer. When he is kidnapped and learns that his weapons are being used for no good, he decides to stop. Of course, he escapes, by designing a powered suit and improving on it to use it for saving innocents. Obstacles come in form of his advisor, Obadiah Stane and you have to watch to find out.
Robert Downey Jr. injects life into Tony Stark as Iron Man, partly because it resembles him and his lifestyle. His Iron Man is witty and charming, and we can not help but feel for him and root for him every step of the way. The most memorable part of the plot has got to be the part when he designs the Iron Man suit with his robotic companions. Gwyneth Paltrow plays Stark's efficient secretary Pepper Potts and we get to see romantic sparks between them both. While her acting was commendable, there is nothing outstanding either. As I elaborated, you can see the plot is nothing new, but it is a fun ride throughout. Although I think I would have preferred the movie to be a little more dark and the villian a little more evil, but the CGI was great and they managed to tie up the plot nicely. Highly recommended.
Oh yeah, I have been wondering about the appeal of dark comedies or black humor. I rarely like them, so I'm wondering why most people do.
