can you believe it? i watched pirates of the caribbean AWE for the FOURTH time yesterday. now i've seen the original version two times and the german synchro version twice, too. how i ended up in the cinema is beyond me. totally unplanned.
i was sitting in a train on my way home after university and felt a genuine appetite for pizza. so far nothing special. my friend Cole mentioned a restaurant she knew, suggesting we could just drop by... chat a little, look at shop-windows, the usual. the pizza was great. we had a good time, basically. but somehow, on our way back we passed an ad for PotC and... she asked me to go and see it with her! how could i have said no? and after taking a stroll from Alexanderplatz to Friedrichstraße, we caught the train to Potsdamer Platz, Sony Center. and watched the movie. again.
oh, and we chatted up some Americans that were on vacation. or they chatted us up. dunno. they were surprised about the generous distribution of beer at cinemas. and about the german's (or Europeans') tendency to walk several blocks without even thinking of taking a car. figures. :)
