* I love Youko. Watching her grow up is amazing. She starts off as a whiny, woe-is-me fate-hater, but by the end she is a strong, iron-willed monarch. There is a deep humanity about her, so clean and wonderful that you can't hate her. She's flawed and unlearned, but she tries so damned hard and really does want to make a difference. I heart her.

* Rakushun. *so damned boring* Also, Shouryu. Also, maybe adult!Taiki.

* Youko and Keiki. I don't think they would do well romantically, but once they learn to be more comfortable with each other, I think their friendship would be nice. It seems so awkward and stiff at first...I really hope in later times they both loosen up. I love her and Rakushun, the one person she can joke with and get a laugh. Also, I dig her friendships with Suzu and Shoukei, so much.

* She will eventually lose the Way. I think it will take a long time, and it would be a shock, but I think it will happen. While Shouryu is having a blast proving me wrong, I really don't think kings can live on the Way forever. And while I don't think her fall will be because of some foolish mistake, I think it will be something small after a series of many missteps.

* More Keiki friendship. Like I said, she seems so stiff and formal with him, and it always seems awkward. I want them to loosen up and have more fun together!
