Friday december 30th- 3pm -small local park, Later a temple-

Jan 07, 2010 14:14

Mura was on a house call, by the orders of the old woman. She was suppose to stop by one of the local Shinto temples and preform a reading. It was strange though, the old grandma would do this sort of thing herself. Why the drunk sent her was something Mura questioned all the way to the temple ( Read more... )

Walking with her beam faced sisters they started to chat excitedly about what they should have for dinner. Okita was very proud of her decision to change her hair although at times when the cold breeze came, she felt shivers from the cold on the back of her neck. Short hair was something she had to get use to, especially after having it so long. Trying to figure out if the twins would like Yakisoba or Nikujaga, Varu started to tug Okita’s hand and pointed at the playground with her sketchpad. Varuna who had noticed the playground started to plead along with Varu to play even if it was for just a little while.

“But its completely covered in snow.” Okita protested. “You will get all your clothes wet and then you will be sick tomorrow to go to the temple.”

But the twins continued pleading and as the voices got louder, Okita faced her palms in the girl’s attention. “Enough, you can play but for only ten minutes. I still have to get home and cook dinner ( ... )

Mura's swing came to a slow stop, as she watched the three enter the park. Her hair was a bit of a mess, as she watched the two children play for a moment, then felt the presence of someone next to her. Mura sighed a moment, it would be awful for a reputation to be found playing in a children's park but she didn't move. The card reader just sat there, not sure which action to take.

Coming back from her thoughts, Okita gave herself a small pump before the swing started to move slowly by itself. That is when she noticed there was someone else. The swing was still moving as Okita watched Mura ( ... )

Mura paused and looked over at the sound of Okita's voice "...mm? I'm sorry what did you say?"

Okita blinked as she felt her cheeks slowly start burning. It was harder saying it once, but repeating it made it much more difficult. She swiped her fringe to the side as she cleared her voice.

"Do you have any relatives by the last name Williams?" She gave a weak smile. "Sorry if the questions comes across weird..."

Mura looked at her a moment, then shrugged her shoulders. "I couldn't really answer your question, I have no idea who my biological relatives are." That was of course what she assumed the girl was asking about.

"Oh," Okita by now felt her whole face red up to her neck. She did not mean for her question to hit such a sensitive topic. Curiosity...no wonder it killed the cat.

"I apologize," She looked away as she gripped the metal chain harder. She closed her eyes for moment before opening them to look at the twins. She started to explain herself speaking hastily. "I just had to ask because I could not help but notice the color of your eyes which are rare--" Okita stopped herself before she continued, she was digging a deeper hole and the girl might walk away offended. She did not like to make anyone feel unpleasant.

"I should not have asked such a personal question...I apologize again."

Mura watched her a moment, why was she so embarrassed? it was a simple question wasn't it?

"No need to apologize, I have no need to know who I am genetically related to. As for my eye color...." She touched her face a moment, "I was told I was born partially albino, I am not sure if it is a 'William' family trait or not though." Mura studied the girl beside her, those brunt auburn eyes taking in every trait.

"I was dropped off at the church as a newborn,but...I was lucky to find a new family...you seem to have your hands full yourself."

Partially albino. Okita turned to look at Mura, the redness of her face starting to subside. That might explain her pale face and eyes but the reason for Mura's dark hair. People with albinism had no color pigment in their skin, face or eyes. But Okita of course had no idea that Mura's hair was dyed.

She nodded listening to Mura's story. She smiled when she mentioned finding a new family. Okita liked happy endings and was a family centered individual that believed that family love was the strongest kind of love there is, whether they are your real family or not. She decided to share a bit of her information.

"That's good to hear, everyone needs family love...I never knew my father whose last name is Williams and I believed that maybe he had burgundy colored eyes...since I'm the only one in my family with that trait. I have never seen anyone with a similar eye color until now."

Mura smiled softly at that, thinking of her own family, "yes...My family...I love them dearly."

The darker girl listened to Okita's story a moment watching the changes of emotion on her face. Slowly she turned to look at the two girls before she said, "Children are natural endless pools of energy, as long as they have that....then you know they are still children. It is when we hit adult hood, that we have a limit." Mura's lips curled up into a soft smile towards the other girl.

"I wish my brother still had that sort of energy. he is growing up too fast."

"Looks like adulthood came faster than I expected. They are only five, so they are going to have that energy for a while. All I can do is try to feed off of it. I’m a believer of energy, you can feel when people watch you and people can be like leeches or replenish what you lack. As long as my sisters have that… no matter how tiring it can be, I’ll be happy."

Okita returned Mura's smile with a wider one as she flashed her teeth. She started to pump herself to swing a bit.

"You have a younger brother." She placed her index finger on her cheek. "I always wondered how it would be to have a brother..."

Mura nodded her head a moment watching the children play. "That is very true...there are some people who are infact leeches."

"It is different I suppose...I don't know what it would be like to have a sister though. He is stubborn... a bit of a fool... He thinks he must protect me, but I am his older sister." Mura chuckled, "Though...you're sisters are...rather adorable."

"That's so sweet..." She grinned referring to Mura's brother's actions. Folding her ankles she gave a soft chuckle when Mura described her brother as a fool.

"A protector...well it is better than those horrible stories I hear of how brothers pick on their sisters and times even hit her if they don't get their way. As for stubbornness...I think we all have that in a way."

She gave a sweet smile when Mura spoke about her sisters. "I think they know it too…“ She laughed as she observed her sisters. “I actually think, they might be fraternal twins even though they look identical. Their eyes came out two different colors…so who knows for sure.”

Looking at Mura she said. “Do you go to school around here?”

She thought about the other girl's words a moment, but she would rather protect him.

"Twins have a special bond, it is rare and unique, it doesn't matter if they were identical or fraternal."

"I go to Gakuin Highschool." She said with a troubled sigh.

"It must be true, my sisters are inseparable, even in school. The teachers sometimes worry because it’s as if they feel the need to go everywhere together." She nodded. "They were together for nine months, so it makes sense..."

She gave a sad smile. "But I guess you understand as an older sister on how you want to always be there for them, no matter how big they get... I know now they are happy to have me around, but I'll know there will be a time, they aren't going to want me all that involved in their lives... I just hope they never separate from each other as they get older."

She gasped when Mura mentioned Gakuin. "Really? I go there as well." She did not notice the sigh Mura let out. "I guess I've never seen you because we're probably in different homerooms and..." She gave a sheepish grin. "I had an attendance problem in the past."
