Success!
Food Fest (which is I think the official name they gave to it) is happening right now. Jirou-chan and I went to grab some food.
There was a big circle of tables in the middle. They were giving away cookies, tiny muffins, salads, poke, hot dogs (then later tuna sandwiches when the hot dogs ran out), samples of drinks, 11 oz water bottles, sweet potato fries, chips with dip, cookies... And there was one booth giving out samples of Monster engergy drinks, as well as allowing people to take full-size cans of energy drinks. I got the Russian and Chai Hai Java Monsters. Jirou-chan got a "Lo-Ball" one and the Russian. xDDDDD
I wanna keep the cans. =o So interesting!
I wanted to get some of the poke, so we got into the line (we'd tried previously, but gotten distracted by something else) and went around. I grabbed a thing of salad, and Jirou-chan grabbed the poke. Which...is weird because normally, Jirou-chan doesn't eat poke.
She tried a bite, and her face was too funny. xD She was like, "Here." and handed me the bowl. I handed the salad to her, and finished off the poke. We got around to a table that had tiny breaded shrimp in barbecue sauce, and Jirou combined that with the salad.
I tried some chips (I don't know what kind...but I think there was sea salt on them?) with this dip that looked like some kind of chowder...it was WARM too, which made it even more yummeh. :3
But yes. I skipped class today. I missed most of it because of the free food, so I figured I might as well not go. We're finishing up, "Eat Drink Man Woman" and starting "Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring"...which I've already seen. The first movie I can always borrow from the library, so eh!
