Summary: Tegoshi has been finding confetti in his bag, but doesn't know who is giving it to him.
Note: Unbeted.
Also Japanese Confetti is a sugary sweet if you didn't know. They look like
this.
It was a surprisingly quiet afternoon in the dressing rom. Koyama and Shige were talking quietly in the corner about a new duet song, hoping that one day they too could debut. KoyaShige, they had always dreamed about it, just like TegoMassu.
Tegoshi lay sprawled out on the couch, he was tired, they had an early dance rehearsal, then a meeting about singles. They had a long break in the afternoon until their photo shoots in the evening. They could have gone home, could have gone somewhere, but they all just lounged around in the dressing room.
Massu sat on the other side of the table, munching away at a bento he brought with. Tegoshi turned his head to the side slightly staring at Massu while eating, he was also hungry. He decided he should get something to eat before his stomach growled, maybe something sweet aswell. Tegoshi always loved sweet things. Stood up, strolling over towards his bag to fish out his wallet.
“Anyone wanna come with?” Tegoshi said as he started digging though his bag, “I want food, and I don’t want to go alone, also I want to go to the conbini and get…” Tegoshi paused, slowly lifting the confetti out of his bag. He had no idea where it had come from, but it was exactly what he was feeling like, something sweet.
“Get what?” Koyama asked, obviously curious as to why Tegoshi suddenly stopped.
“Ah, a drink, sorry I got distracted” Tegoshi said, quickly changing his mind. He stuffed the small bag of confetti in his bag, before dragging Shige with him, out the door.

It was just over a week later before Tegoshi found the confetti in his bag again. Sure he loves confetti, but he can’t remember telling someone that he did. Tegoshi was puzzled, he sat on the couch, absentmindedly munching on them, where did the come from? Even if he didn’t know, they were a good treat after a long photo shoot.
“No fair, you’re keeping the sweets to yourself” Shige mumbled as he walked into the dressing room. He leant forward but Tegoshi quickly snatched the small bag away before Shige could get his hand in it. “What the hell Tegoshi?”
“They’re mine, get your own” Tegoshi stuck his tongue out. He wasn’t too sure why, but he felt protective over these sweets. Not just because they were his favourites, but for another reason he couldn’t quite put his finger on. He looked up at Shige eyeing his bag, “I said you’re not getting any”
“There’s something written on it” Shige said, pointing to the bottom of the bag. Tegoshi slowly moved the bag round and up so that he could glance underneath it.
‘Good Work’ it read, nothing more. Tegoshi turned to Shige who was grinning like an idiot.
“What are you two doing?” Koyama asked, Massu quietly in tow behind him.
“Tegoshi has an admirer~!!” Shige bounced over to Koyama. As Koyama’s eyes went wide open, Tegoshi stood up and walked out, he didn’t need this now, after all what was the harm in eating Confetti which just magically appears in your bag.
Tegoshi sat down near the vending machines; it was quiet here, no one here to bug him about the sweets. He’ll just ignore everyone later, and then just tell them that Shige is jealous.

After a while, Tegoshi got used to it. Every now and again there was confetti in his bag, sometimes with a note, sometimes with out. It usually said small things like ‘good luck’ or ‘well done’. One time it even read ‘I like your style today’. Tegoshi kept it hidden from the others. Frankly, he enjoyed the sweets, enjoyed the attention, but he really did want to know who it was, and letting anyone in NEWS know what he was thinking was a no. After all, who knows, Koyama might start a search party inside Johnny’s, and that would definitely not be a good idea. Tegoshi crashed down on the couch, holding todays confetti bag in his hands.
‘I have something I want to ask you’ it read, Tegoshi was dying to know, but sadly there was no meeting place, no time, nothing. He would probably find out on tomorrows bag.
“Chicken” Tegoshi groaned, he wanted to meet the person, see who it was.
“I’d love some, wanna go with me?” The voice made Tegoshi startle, he didn’t expect Massu to have walked in just as he was taking out his frustration.
“Errr… that’s not what I meant…” He watched Massu’s eyes drift down to the confetti bag, Tegoshi quickly hiding it.
“Come on, my treat” Massu added, smiling towards Tegoshi.
“I’m not sure Massu, I was thinking of just… waiting here for a bit” Tegoshi looked down. After all it was possible his confetti person might just come to pick him up, maybe he just had to wait.
Massu chuckled quietly, earning a glare from Tegoshi.
“Are you waiting for your admirer?” Massu asked, moving over towards Tegoshi on the couch, sitting down next to him slowly. Tegoshi glanced at Massu, slightly surprised.
“yeah… I was hoping to run into them”
“Maybe you already have” Tegoshi widened his eyes, what if he did, and he didn’t realise, and then they gave up on him?
“I like you Tegoshi”
“… eh?” Tegoshi was shocked, did Massu really just confess to him. Massu laughed a little at his shock.
“So about that chicken date then, lets go” Massu grabbed Tegoshi’s hand, dragging him off.

Tegoshi pushed open the dressing room door, he was first there today… or so he thought when his eyes rested on the table. A small bag of confetti sat there. Tegoshi grinned.
‘Tegoshi, enjoy the sweetness. Love Massu’
