I was sitting with my friends at my usual my usual spot, under the big tree at the side of the playground. Kame and Jin were talking about some kind of fashion related stuff and Taguchi was annoying Ueda with his jokes. I was just staring at the playground waiting for someone to show up. And there he was, the new guy, I can’t believe someone like him won over almost every student at this school in only one month! From day one there was something about him that I didn’t like. I can’t really explain why I hate him so much though, but every time I see him I get this strange tingling feeling and I don’t like it. Just like always he came running in right on time, ‘cause the school gates were about to close. But further from that he wasn’t a bad student.
Oh, he had changed his hairstyle. His hair was dyed blonde! He’s asking for trouble, although he looks kinda cool with it, it’s not allowed to dye your hair and definitely not blonde! If he had dyed it brown then I wouldn’t make a problem out of it because it’s pretty close to our typical black hair but this… No I’m definitely not going to let him away with this. I’ll have to make him realize that he has to follow the rules here, and I have the right to do this because I’m the school president. Ok, to be fair I’m gonna enjoy punishing him, with his good looks and his easy-to-like personality.
I got up and started walking towards him, making myself ready to scold him and thinking of a good punishment that’ll learn him to obey the rules. He was talking with some friends from his class and they saw me coming, they were nudging him to look at me and were probably saying that I was here to punish him for his hair, because when he looked at me I saw something in his eyes. Fear? Maybe. But he knew he did something wrong and that he was going to get punished for it.
“Tanaka-kun, can I have a word with you?” I asked politely.
“Ah, Hai” He gulped, his friends were laughing at him and yelling “You’re in trouble na-aaw!” I heard them giggle a bit but then we got inside the school building.
“Ano~ If this is about my hair… I didn’t know that it’s not allowed here in school” He looked at me pleadingly, probably hoping I wouldn’t give him whatever punishment I was going to give him. But I wasn’t going to give in, not even to those beautiful dark brown eyes that gave me the chills through my whole body. “what’s going on with me, I hate him! Right?”
“Tanaka-kun, you should’ve read the rules. Every student that goes to this school has read the rules so you’re no exception. So as punishment for this you’ll have to clean every single classroom at school and don’t you think about skipping out on this. I’ll be there to watch you and make sure you clean everything.” I couldn’t help but smirk, the look on his face was too good. You could definitely see that he wasn’t happy about it at all. I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to punish him and there it was. I know that normally if you come to school with dyed hair you’re send back home and you can come back to school the next day or even the same day if you’re hair ‘s dyed back. But I couldn’t help it and give him a job that’s normally given to students who’ve broken much severe rules like vandalism.
“So, you can start today. When your classes are over, come to the school president’s office and I’ll go to the classrooms with you” It stayed quiet for a while, he was probably regretting that he even came to this school *smirk* He finally replied with a “Wakarimashita, Nakamaru kaichou*” and left to his class.
I couldn’t help but smile at the remembrance of his gloomy face after I said that he had to clean all of the classrooms here. It are more than 20 rooms so he’ll be busy for quite a while. Then I realized that I also had to go to my class and I ran to my biology class that had already started.
“Ah Nakamaru-kun, what nice of you to join us today”
“I’m sorry Mori-sensei”
“Just go to your seat, so I can continue with my class.”
I sat down and hadn’t noticed that the seat next to me, where normally nobody sits, was taken. I looked over to see who it was and… Of course it’s that Tanaka kid. What he was doing here, I had no idea ‘cause this wasn’t even his year. He’s a year younger than me so he couldn’t be taking this class right?
“Ah and Nakamaru-kun, from this day on Tanaka-kun will be following our biology class. So can you fill him in on the stuff that we’ve already seen? I’m sure that ‘s no problem for our school president right?”
What?! Now he’s not only going to annoy me when I see him walking around in school but now I even have to sit next to him and help him?! What is he doing here? This must be some kind of payback, I’m sure of it.
After biology class
“Nakamaru-kaichou, I’m supposed to get copies from this class from you. Can you give them to me now? Or just your notes so I have to time to copy them” *sigh* I’m really stuck with him now, and I even said that I would watch him clean all of the classrooms. I’m going to see him even more now.
“Yeah ok, but Tanaka-kun why are you following this class? Why aren’t you following biology at your grade?”
“Well, in my last school I followed an advanced course for biology so I’ve already seen everything they were giving in my year. So I could follow it here.” He followed an advanced course? I have to say I’m kinda impressed, I won’t ever say that a loud though. I suck at biology, I don’t think I’ve ever had good scores on a test, ever.
“Ah, sou ka. Here are my notes, I want them back as soon as possible and I don’t want any stains on them ok?”
“Ha~i, see you after the last lesson!”

“Pff, another school day ended and I still can’t go home” I whined.
“That’s your own fault Maru-kun” Ueda said. “If you hadn’t punished Tanaka-kun, you could’ve come with us to Jin’s house”
“I know, but you know I can’t stand the guy and I was so happy I could punish him for a good reason so I went kinda overboard I guess. Now I’m stuck with him for a long time… He’s even in our biology class now!”
“Yeah, he’s really good in it! Maybe he can tutor you, if my memory is correct you suck at biology” Kame replied and everybody started laughing.
“Ha ha, see you tomorrow guys. I have to watch over the stupid blonde haired guy now.”
“Yeah stupid blonde haired guy that’s probably smarter than you are” Kame said again, he smirked at my annoyed face and left with the others.
“Pff… Now it’s time for me to go look for that Tanaka guy and hope that I’ll cheer up from seeing him suffering while cleaning.”
