Bestfriends-Prologue
"Hey, Kyuhyun ah, Bummie ah! Look! It's a shooting star!" a happy ten year old exclaimed. yesung spun around to see his friends' reaction and was bitterly disappointed.
They were on top of a hill with a wonderful carpet of stars overhead and he revelled in the wonderful sight while Kyuhyun was playing his PSP and Kibum was reading a book. Yesung threw small rocks at them. They both grunted and glared at him. Yesung just huffed and walked away from them.
"What? What did we do? You're the one who threw rocks at us." Kyuhyun muttered. He groaned when he saw that his character was already dead.
"Nobody cares about your game,Kyuhyun." Kibum said. "Yesung, what did we do?"
"What do you think?" yesung grumpily said.
"We don't know that's why we're asking you." Kyuhyun replied.
Kibum gently nudged him. "Kyuhyun, stop it." then he turned to yesung. "What exactly did we do?"
"Did you hear what I said a while ago?" yesung turned around.
Both of them shook their head and Yesung just sighed again. He didn't know why he's always hanging out with them. They both have their own worlds. He pointed at the sky which made the younger two look up. Another shooting star shot across the sky which made them gasp.
"Yesung, a shooting star!" kyuhyun pulled him excitedly. "You should have made a wish!"
Yesung laughed. Kyuhyun rarely showed this childish side of him at all. "I already made my wish, idiot. That was the second shooting star."
"What did you wish for, yesung?" Kibum asked.
Yesung smiled sheepishly at Kibum. "I''m not telling you."
"Why?" Kibum's smile wavered.
"It won't come true if I tell you." yesung reasoned.
"That's not true! Come on, yesungie~ What did you wish for?" kyuhyun tried to do aegyo which made Yesung laugh again.
"You really shouldn't do a lot of aegyo, Kyu. You suck so bad." yesung playfully pushed him away.
"What did you say? Come here, hyung!" kyuhyun called out.
Yesung laughed again before running away while Kyuhyun was trying to catch him. Yesung wanted tp Kibum to join in their fun so he hid behind the younger which made Kyuhyun bump into him. Now, Kibum was chasing Kyuhyun who was chasing him. They stopped running around when Yesung tripped on a rock.
"Ouch. ." yesung muttered,
Kyuhyun helped him up. "Only you would trip in all this grass."
"Meanie~" yesung pouted then sat down beside Kibum. "Bummie, what did you wish for?"
Kyuhyun scoffed. "A new book,i bet."
"I'm not like you,Kyuhyun. I bet you asked for a new game." kibum retorted then turned to yesung. "I want to go the same high school as you when we grow up." then he smiled his megawatt smile.
"That's so nice of you, Bummie! Don't worry. We'll be classmates until then." yesung assured him.
"Aren't you going to ask what my wish is, yesungie?" kyuhyun asked.
"Okay. Kyu, what did you wish for?" yesung beamed at him.
"I wish I would always be with yesungie just like when we were little kids."
Yesung shook his head. "Now's even better since Bummie's with us. I wished that the three of us would always be best friends and would grow up together!"
The younger two became quiet. It was common knowledge that they weren't particularly close, their only link was Yesung. In the end, it was always Yesung who came in between their fights or small arguments. yesung was patient with them no matter what. Kyuhyun has been with the older longer than Kibum which made him think that he has a bigger claim on yesung. Kibum with his quiet demeanor has quickly perked up the older's interest even in the midst of a crowd would always do his best not to make things to hard for Yesung so he tries to ignore Kyuhyun's jabs as much as he can.
'Yesungie ah, don't you miss the days when it's just the two of us? It's not that I really hated Kibum. it's just that. . . .I'm afraid that i might lose you to him.' Kyuhyun sadly thought.
'I'll do everything to make you happy, Yesung. Even if Kyuhyun has been with you longer, I'll make sure I won't miss out on anything starting now.' kibum solemnly thought.
While the two of them were busy with their thoughts, Yesung was also lost in his thoughts. He stared longingly at the night sky and sighed. Could they really be like this forever? As another shooting star flew in, Yesung hoped on all the stars in the sky that they would.
