Tokyo

There's a Shinto shrine in Harajuku with a sort of forest park around it. In the places where it grows thin, bamboo walls block out the city. Just underneath the sounds of nature, a silence holds the distinct energy of feudal Japan. A sort of intense seriousness and sense of honor made whole and carried by the serenity of a waterfall.

I am 19 years old and I live alone in Tokyo. I am here for three months, practicing Aikido at Hombu Dojo, the world headquarters of Aikido. I recently attended Comiket and am a big fan of anime, manga, and doujinshi. I cosplayed Yuki Eiri at Sugoicon '04, Anime Boston, Tokyo Dome's Cosplay Expo, and Comiket. I have yet to do any other cosplay. I somehow hope to avoid directly talking about myself like this; what an odd thing for a live journal. My reasons are simple. Things are not interesting just because they're about me. They have to be inherently interesting. So, knowing this, why did I start a live journal?

I've decided that I don't want to be a hermit. At least not all the time.
