Today was my last day of school until January. I am exhausted, but accomplished. I haven't been able to handle two classes in the same quarter in many a year. It took a lot of energy, concentration, and ate a lot of my sleep and free time, but I got through it and I'm pretty sure I'll get good grades for both classes given I kept going for extra credit whenever it was offered, turned everything in on time, didn't miss more than the amount of days allowed, and my worst score was one B+.
So from now until January I only have Christmas to worry about. I've got an entry just about ready to submit to a big writing contest in February and my teacher agreed to look at it and give me feedback, which is huge since the guy is a famous professional writer who tells his classes on the first days that he doesn't take unsolicited manuscripts. Either he made an exception because it was a story I wrote for one of his precious classes that he forgot to write comments on or because he sees potential in me. Maybe it's both. Either way it's a really big deal and I hope I live up to any expectations he may have. I worked my ass off on it on top of finals (as everyone I've pestered constantly about it can tell you) and I think I've really improved it.
So now that I've finally got free time I'm going to spend my new free time catching up on backlogs I built up. And on writing other stuff including a fic or two I owe people. Maybe I'll actually empty out my DA inbox finally. Oh, and maybe I'll actually do something for Christmas this year.
Also, if you don't know by now
Desert Bus for Hope is awesome and you should totally check it out. Donate some money if you can, if not for the children then to make Matt suffer through a 24 hour marathon of New Moon.
