It's my weekend!
Mr Yuki and I took tomorrow off and we're heading up to Erie for the weekend. Well, two days. We're going up tomorrow and coming back saturday. we're going to do some shopping and some eating and just generally relaxing. I cna't wait.
Sunday, I'm headed out to Ohio for a clinic. I was told to bring my bokken and possibly my sword. I am so rusty at sword that i think i'll forget the real one and only bring the bokken. I'm excited to actually work with people my own rank. I've been teaching beginners for what seams like forever now. i'm like a stay at home mom who craves adult interaction. LOL. the intimidating part is that one of my teachers pointed out, probably to just make me nervous, that it has been over two years since my last promotion (to 2nd degree black belt). i'm not prepared to test... i haven't worked on any requirements lately for a test (let alone knowing exactly what they are. other than i do have the kata but is it passable? i dunno). i'm hoping if anything, i get watched at the clinic and not have to test this time. usually leading up to major tests, the other masters watch you as you work out to see how well you are doing and to study how you process through things during a class. a lot of your test is actually that part.
well, that ended up longer than expected.
i'm exhausted. gnite all!
