I'm scary

Damn. i shouldn't have complained about how busy I was earlier this week... because it only got worse! It's been nuts at work all week. Usually we're supposed to spend 75% of our time in direct contact with clients (or in travel to client's)... seeing as I am still new, I have been hovering around 60% for about a month now. This week, I've had two days where I had 80% and today it was 90%. Plus a full day of training (defensive driving class).

And then my evenings have been insanely busy too! Last night, i get home from work and get a call to go help with a women's self defense seminar (one night lecture) So I go down to the dojo and drag koi with me to watch. It was just a group of hens clucking the whole time and not wanting to work out or try anything. So i ended up demonstrating a lot of stuff on my teacher (since i'm a girl and he's not... just to show that a small girl can do the stuff). After we're rolling around on the mat showing what to do to get a rapist off of you... we realize again just how sexual jujutsu is..... after the women giggled uncontrollably for minutes on end.

my teacher ran into some of them today and they said that his assistant (me) was really scary!! LOL. I'm scary! They further explained that i was being hit and choked and pinned (etc) and i wasn't even slowed down in trying to defend myself. I just acted like i get hit everyday and it's nothing. hmmm... well, one would think that would happen after 14 years... that someone choking me wouldn't really phase me. but anyways, tonight at karate class, i was being teased for being "scary".

Oh! and the best part of today! During one of my meetings with my client and an agency... I ran into my old high school boyfriend's father! Precious' dad didn't even recognize me until he said that I could drop of the completed paperwork at his house in clearfield on my way back to the office (in one town) instead of having to drive it back over the mountain to the other town. He was about to give me directions there when I said that I knew exactly where he lived... Looking confused, he stated that I did look familiar but he couldn't figure out where he knew me from. I told him that I dated his son for 9 months back in high school... and then he said "Omg! You're the girl he took to the prom!" Then the man blushed as the other people in the meeting made fun of him for forgetting about that. The hardest part for me was that the whole way through the meeting, i had the mario bro's music running through my head since Precious' dad looks just like Mario (and that's what we used to call him back when i was a teenager).

karate, work
